global warming

Climate is the long-term pattern in an area, typically averaged over 30 years.More rigorously, it is the mean and variability of meteorological  variables over a time spanning from months to millions of years.Global warming is the long-term heating of Earth's surface observed since the pre-industrial period (between 1850 and 1900) due to human activities, primarily fossil fuel burning, which increases heat-trapping greenhouse gas levels in Earth's atmosphere. This term is not interchangeable with the term "climate change."
These pollutants cause global warming—specifically carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, water vapor, and synthetic fluorinated gases—are known as greenhouse gases, and their impact is called the greenhouse effect.
